This is an easy jungle juice recipe that is great for summer parties, hawaiian themes, as well as the budget conscious. Vodka and Rum can both be bought dirt cheap,
so embrace those awful brands(juice masks the horrible taste ). Also remember to utilize drink mixes instead of buying premade when possible, no sense in paying an upcharge for water. If you decide to add fruit its best to let everything sit after mixing for at least 4-6 hours, if not overnight, the longer it sits the more alcohol in the fruit.
Estimated Cost: $70 Batch Size: 5 gallons
4 (750 ml) bottles vodka
- 2 (750 ml) bottles white rum
- 2 gallons orange-flavored drink (Think Tang)
- 2 (46 oz) cans fruit punch
- 4 quarts pink lemonade
- 4 quarts orange and pineapple juice blend
Optional Additions: A few cans of cherries, orange slices, pineapple wedges, substitute Tang for orange soda, Everclear(grain alcohol) subing for vodka would reduce price an could raise potency
*Warning*: Everclear is 3 times more potent than 70 proof vodka. If using Everclear I highly recomend reducing to 2- 750 ml bottles, this will still increase potency as if you used 6 bottles of vodka, and cost less. Also consider a bit more juice or taste concerns.
Keep the Party Goin!
